Dead Tide — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026 · Publisher: SMEX STUDIOS
Dead Tide is a zombie survival game. This policy explains what data the current app uses, why, and how to request deletion. Contact: jamanderuser92@gmail.com.
Data used by the game
- The game saves loadout, character style and best-run progress on your device using local storage. Online wallets store Gold, Scrap, account XP and purchased inventory on the server; local wallet values are cached copies.
- When online features work, Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous user ID. If you choose to link Google, Firebase may also use your Google profile name and email for sign-in.
- Cloud Firestore stores a player name, creation time, best time and level, run scores and kills, clan membership, clan/territory/war activity, and ownership records for globally limited cosmetic outfits. The limited-outfit stock count is public; each ownership record is associated with the game's anonymous account ID. Leaderboard entries and clan information are visible to other players.
- Private wallet transaction and run-settlement records contain item IDs, currency amounts, request identifiers and timestamps to prevent duplicate delivery and investigate purchase problems. Optional account linking protects online wallet access across installations; guest accounts do not support paid pack purchases.
- Google Analytics for Firebase may collect app usage, device and diagnostic information where supported. Optional rewarded advertising is available on supported Android builds.
- Optional Scrap and Gold packs use Google Play Billing. Google processes payment details; Dead Tide does not receive your full card or bank details. The game and its Firebase service receive the selected product ID, purchase token, purchase status, order reference and an account-linked verification value so the purchase can be verified, delivered once and protected against duplicate claims.
Why and with whom
We use these data to save progress, run leaderboards and clans, verify optional purchases, maintain and improve the game, and detect technical problems. Google Firebase provides authentication, database hosting, server functions and analytics; Google Play provides payment processing. We do not sell player data.
Optional advertising and consent
The Android app includes Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Watching a rewarded ad is optional. Where required, a consent message is shown before ads are requested; you can accept, refuse or manage your choices. The game's SYSTEM / HELP menu includes AD PRIVACY to review available privacy choices.
When advertising is enabled, Google's SDK may collect and share IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), device and account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID, ad/product interactions and diagnostic information. These support advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. Personalized advertising depends on applicable consent and settings. Dead Tide does not request precise device-location permission for ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and Google's advertising privacy controls.
To verify optional rewards, our Firebase service stores a short-lived reward ticket linked to your game account and completed run. AdMob receives a ticket identifier and a hashed game-account identifier for its signed reward callback. Callback records include a transaction identifier, ad-unit identifier and timestamps, allowing rewards to be delivered once without granting them merely because an ad was opened. These records do not include your bank or card details.
Optional Meta ad measurement (Android Build 132 onward)
Only if you choose Allow in the separate optional ad-measurement dialog, the Meta Android SDK sends install/open events and technical data such as IP address, device and app information, advertising identifiers and install-referral information to Meta Platforms to measure Facebook and Instagram advertising. SMEX STUDIOS does not supply your game account ID, email, wallet, clan messages or purchase details to this integration. Automatic purchase/event logging is disabled. No Meta login is required.
You may refuse without losing access to gameplay, purchases or rewards, and change your choice in SYSTEM / HELP > AD MEASUREMENT. Disabling stops new app-triggered measurement; already sent data cannot be recalled and in-flight requests may finish. Future app launches do not initialize Meta when disabled. AdMob consent is separate. Meta may process data internationally and retain them according to its own policies. See Meta's Privacy Policy for processing, retention and your rights. Contact SMEX STUDIOS at the email above for data-rights requests.
Retention and security
Local data remains on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall it. Online account and gameplay records are retained while needed for the game, unless you request deletion. Google/Firebase may retain some technical data under its own service policies. Network connections to Firebase use encryption in transit; no online service can promise absolute security.
Request account and data deletion
Email jamanderuser92@gmail.com with the subject “Dead Tide account deletion”. If you linked a Google account, contact us from that email; otherwise include your in-game player ID or player name and clan so we can identify the right record. We may ask for reasonable verification before deleting cloud account and associated player data. You can also request deletion of specific data. Clearing app data removes local progress from your device, but does not by itself delete cloud records. For privacy questions, use the same address.
